2011 Bois Brule River Opener - March 26th
I'll try to keep this page updated as best a possible:
October 27th, 2011 - River is still running low and clear. The fish that are in the river are very spooky. We need a good rain soaking to flush out the system and get some bigger runs coming in. Cover lots of productive water with a lot of persistance in those deeper holes and runs. I suspect a lot of people are watching the USGS water gauge. So when it does go up, watch out for the mad rush. At the same time, deer season opens up soon, but you'll know where I'll be. Good luck out there!
Tight lines! Capt. Carson
Doug F. from Georgia with his first fly rod Brule River steelie!
Sept. 25, 2010 - Took a little hike at a couple of landings to check out some other areas that I don't normally get too. CFS @ 220. Color off colored, not unusual for the big rain we had the past Thursday. Talked to a few fisherman and no fish for any of them. One person did say that caught a couple of small residents.
